In Old English, eyland (also īegland, īgland, or ēaland) simply meant “island”—literally water-land, a piece of earth set apart by the sea. I take that older sense and reverse Donne’s claim: "every person is an eyland", a distinct shore with its own coast, currents, and need to be approached as a whole rather than assumed already joined to the mainland. We are all complex persons deserving of the original Way of Life from our Creator.
DIDACHE, The Original Teaching carried by the Apostles until the Bible was canonized ~370 years after Christ's death. If the Apostles' teaching from YHWH (GOD) was this simple for 300+ years, it is still valid.
We want to recover the earliest, simplest teaching the Twelve Apostles carried—the Didache—before later church tradition and ceremony layered over it. We should be trying to live that original Way of Life with YHWH (GOD) and Yeshua (Jesus) instead of being pulled into the pomp and complexity that now surrounds most churches.
